CitySwift, the Mobility Intelligence Software Provider, Successfully Secured €7 Million in a Recent Funding Round

CitySwift, the Galway-based provider of mobility intelligence software for the public transport sector, has successfully raised €7 million in its latest funding round. Led by Gresham House Ventures with a €5 million investment, the round also saw participation from Irelandia Investments, the Western Development Commission, and ACT Venture Capital. Launched in 2016, CitySwift’s platform utilizes AI-powered analytics, simulations, and optimization to enhance the performance of public transport networks.

CitySwift has experienced a 150% increase in its customer base over the past year, extending its operations to include transport networks in English cities like London, Manchester, and Birmingham, as well as locations in Wales and Belfast. Notable clients include National Express, Go-Ahead Group, Metroline, and Transport for Wales. The company, collaborating with both public sector transport authorities and private bus operators, attributes its growth to shifts in working patterns and an increase in leisure travel.

CitySwift has secured €7 million in its recent funding round, led by Gresham House Ventures, to enhance its mobility intelligence software for the public transport sector. The Galway-based company’s platform employs AI-powered analytics, simulations, and optimization to enhance the performance of public transport networks. The funding will be used to accelerate platform growth, with plans to double its headcount in the next two years and further develop the platform. CitySwift’s client base has expanded significantly, covering transport networks in English cities, Wales, and Belfast, with clients such as National Express, Go-Ahead Group, Metroline, and Transport for Wales.
